NOTICE TO TOWN OF STANDISH RESIDENTS
Election Day is Tuesday, June 11, 2024
Standish Voters will Receive the Ballots for the Following Elections:
State Primary
Town Candidate and Town Meeting Referendum Vote
MSAD 6 School Candidate and Validation Referendum
The polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Voting will be held in the Fire Department Vehicle Bays at the
Standish Municipal Center
175 Northeast Road
Standish, Maine

Absentee Ballots
An absentee ballot can be requested by:
Calling the Town Clerk’s Office at 642-4678, 642-8996, 642-4713, 642-4681 or 642-8841 – Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Mailing the absentee ballot application request to 175 Northeast Road, Standish, ME 04084
Faxing the absentee ballot application request to 642-5181
Delivering the absentee ballot application in-person request to the Town Clerk’s Office
Absentee applications or written requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Absentee requests after June 6th will be by special circumstance only.
Accessible (Electronic) Absentee Ballots are available.
The accessible absentee ballot is intended for voters with print disabilities, which may include vision impairment or blindness, physical dexterity limitations, learning disabilities or cognitive impairment, all of which prevent the individual from independently marking a paper ballot. For those voters with disabilities who prefer to vote absentee, an accessible electronic ballot is available for voters to complete independently at home using screenreader technology.

In-person Absentee Voting
In-person absentee voting will be available at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours, which are Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as soon as absentee ballots are received
Additional hours for in-person absentee voting:
- Wednesday, May 29, 2024 – 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 5, 2024 – 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Voter Registration
The Registrar of Voters for Standish holds office hours during the regular Town Clerk’s Office business hours Monday – Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additional voter registration hours:
- Wednesday, May 29, 2024 – 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 5, 2024 – 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Standish residents can register to vote at the Town Clerk’s Office or by mailing in a Voter Registration Application (the application is available on the Town’s web site) and provide documents that show your proof of identity and proof of residency. A Maine driver’s license or state identification card with the current address meets both criteria. The last date for the Town Clerk’s Office to receive a voter registration application by mail or by a 3rd party prior to the June 11, 2024 State Primary is Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.
